Sunnyslope County Water District is governed by five elected directors,
each serving four-year terms.
DAWN ANDERSON, Vice President
Dawn was first appointed to the Board in December 1990. She is a retired educator and
56-year plus San Benito County resident. Her term expires November 30, 2012.
DAVID G. CLAPHAM
Dave was first elected to the Board in November 2010. He has been a resident of San Benito
County for 25 years and has resided in the District for the past 13 years. Dave is a retired
Probation Officer for Santa Clara County with 30 years of service. He coached football at the
High School and Junior College levels. Dave earned his Bachelors degree in Education from
the University of Nevada, where he was inducted into the University of Nevada Hall of Fame
for football and boxing. His term expires November 30, 2014.
KATHLEEN A. HILL
Kathleen Hill was first appointed to the Board in October 2011. Kathleen has been a resident
of San Benito County and the District for 34 years. She is retired from San Benito County Water
District and has worked in local county government for over 15 years. She has experience in the
banking industry, is a California Tax Education Council Registered Tax Preparer, and served on a
Cal OSHA Safety Committee. Her term expires November 30, 2012.
DAVE MERAZ, President
Dave Meraz was first appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board in November 2007. He began
working in San Benito County six months prior, and has been in the water industry for more
than 30 years. Dave is employed as the Maintenance & Operations Manager for San Benito
County Water District. His term expires November 30, 2012.
DANIEL VILLALON
Danny was first elected to the Board in November 2010. He is a retired Deputy Fire Chief,
serving in San Benito County and Santa Clara County. He has been a practicing Medical
Technician for over 30 years. Danny continues to serve his community as a certified CPR/
First Aid Instructor, and as a member of the local Chamber of Commerce. His term expires
November 30, 2014.
